Visitor check-in
"For every 7 days (cumulative) that the Visitor is present, the Host and Visitor should meet for a check-in. The community should be informed that the check-in happened." (KH Constitution, §5a.4)
As there is no further binding consensus on check-ins, this page mostly lists a bundle of options on how to do these check-ins.
Preparation
- Have in mind that people might be stressed about "having to do a check-in"
- You can set place, duration, time and date for the check-in
- In case the Visitor is open for other people joining the check-in, inform them. This can mean either adressing all residents or certain individuals.
- Talk to other residents if they have any feedback, especially if you sense some tensions with the Visitor.
During the check-in
- Ask the Visitor how much information they feel comfortable having shared with the community
- just a note saying: "it happened"
- a short writeup on points you talk about
- [...]
After the check-in
- Inform the community that the check-in happened
