Sommerfest is the most public event of the year: We want to present ourselves in a positive light and create a friendly and joyful atmosphere.

We hold a meeting at 10 am to get the house in shape

Orderliness

• tidy up the garden
• tidy up the house
• make sure the lower staircase toilet and compost toilet are equipped and neat
• have someone responsible for toilets

Make garden festive

• decorate
• put up tables and benches
• put up a buffet
• put up stage area
• have someone responsible for music
• arrange fire corner
• (optional) hide ugly corners of the garden
• (optional) buy soft drinks

Make fest accessible

• decorate the door and put out a big sign
• put up signage towards toilets, free shop, whatever makes sense
• put up barriers to the non-public parts of the house
• clarify which areas will definitely not be part of the fest
• have someone responsible for awareness

Food

• have someone responsible for cake making
• have someone responsible for maintaining the buffet table
• have someone responsible for savory food

Program

• make a (rough) schedule and create a poster from it
• have people responsible for doing house tours
