Kanthaus as a project is very focused on a sustainable use of resources, especially food.

Why

Food production, packaging, transport and retail use massive amounts of energy, labor and water. At the same time they produce pollution and unavoidable waste. (add source and some numbers!)

We need food to live and we appreciate its value, but in our abundant capitalist consumer society this value is too often reduced to a price tag that does not show the true cost of an item.

The future might hold less abundance and could rather force us to do with as little as possible. In the spirit of resilience in case of collapse we should already train how to do that today, in the most joyful and creative way we can.
