Evaluation record
📝 In the evaluation record, we record a summary of the evaluations required by our positions system. The file is stored in kanthaus-private (a git repository). At the end of an evaluation, the facilitator is expected to record the evaluation in this file. This can also be done using the Evaluation Recorder; this is only reachable within the kanthaus Wifi and has a self signed certificate, so accept the risk if your browser warns you about it. In case you have a custom DNS server configured, use this link instead: https://192.168.100.2/evaluation-recorder/.
Structure
The evaluation record is a file (written in YAML format), containing for each evaluation the following fields:
- Date
- Person being evaluated
- Position before the evaluation
- Position applied for
- New position
- People who got to vote on the position
- Other non-voting people present at the evaluation
Note that it doesn't contain notes anymore; those are instead posted to a dedicated Mattermost channel or printed on a sheet of paper and destroyed after one month.
Uses
This file is used to determine automatically who is due for evaluation before each CoMe.
Occasionally, this file is analyzed to gather statistics about our position system or attendance of evaluations.
Occasionally old entries are deleted to adhere to our privacy concept.
