The electric pressure cooker is a great rice cooker too!

It is stored in the Kitchen, at the bottom of the shelf for personal storage of used dishes.

Instructions

Rice

valid for jazmin or basmati, and between 1 and 1,5kg.

- wash the rice thoroughly, and drain it with mesh colander. - Add rice and water.

Dryer steamy rice with a slight crisp on the bottom: 1 liter of water for 1 kg of rice

Well done and more wet rice: 1.2 liters of water for 1 kg of rice

- Select "Rice" with the menu button. Press Start. It will take some minutes to warm up, then a 10 min counter starts.

- When finished " bb " appears, it's keeping the rice warm. Press Cancel.

- Let the rice cool down and do not release the steam to speed it up! When the lid can be opened, done!

Potatoes

Prepare potatoes by cutting them to similar size. 5cm diameter is a good measurement. - Fill pot, but be careful not to overfill beyond the lip of the pot. The valve on the lid should move freely.

- Add around 200ml of water. Using hot water from the electric kettle will noticeably speed up the process.

- Select steam program and increase time to 10 minutes. Press Start.

- When finished "bb" appears, it's in keep warm mode. Press Cancel.

- If you're in a rush you can release the steam, but it will make the potatoes mushy. To prevent that, just wait until the lid can be opened.

Beans

- Wash them and soak for many hours. Throw away the soaking water. - Put in pressure cooker, cover with water, add salt and half a tea spoon of baking soda. Herbs, onion in quarters, garlic, are optional. - Choose bean program. For small beans soaked overnight it was too much. When 5 min left cancel the program. "bb" should be cancelled. too.

I'm less sure about beans yet, because too many variables. But it is around these lines.

Quinoa

It also works for Quinoa, with the same "Rice" program and 1:1 with water by weight.
